Git Your Plan on, Y’all

Planning any event can be rewarding, and nerve-wracking all at the same time.  I thought I knew all too well what it takes to plan a top-notch event, since I do that for my employer, until I realized what the folks at United Festival Company have been up to getting the Super Twang Festival off the ground.  Let’s just say, it is going to be incredible, y’all!

Rhett Akins at SuperTwang

Cherokee Distributing out of Knoxville, TN will be handling the hops and barley so there should be no “we need more beer” rumblings heard.  They will be offering several brands including Coors, Miller, Corona, and even Smirnoff and Mike’s Hard Lemonade for non-beer drinkers.

The 140 acre festival site will have several food vendors with something for every palette.  There will also be the sit-down Mountain Creek BBQ Shed for Super Twangers who wish to get away from all the action for a bit. They are promising us a relaxing atmosphere with great southern cookin’.

Of course before everyone can enjoy the fair’s fare, we need to get the grounds first! Seventeen ticket outlets have opened from Bristol to Cookeville with more to follow in March.  Tickets can also be purchased online.   Early Bird pricing offers passes that get you into all of the concerts and camping are priced at $65. One day tickets for Friday or Saturday are only $35, and Sunday is only $25!

Be sure to include this incredible May festival on beautiful Norris Lake at the top of your list of things to do this Spring. Norris Lake is one of my favorite places, and to have this event coming here thrills me! What better way to get people to explore and enjoy all that Norris and Super Twang have to offer.
